Thank you for your support of the 2009 NW Ductless Heat Pump Workshop!
On September 30th, 2009, the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project held a one day workshop in Portland, Oregon. This event was a great opportunity for manufacturers, distributors, utilities, HVAC associations, contractors and national and regional energy efficiency organizations to build relationships and develop strategies in a collaborative forum.
While Northwest utilities have already invested over $4 million developing the ductless heat pump market, there remains roughly 1 million potential customers in the residential retro-fit market. The 2009 workshop signaled the beginning of a robust program that will target at least 500,000 electrically heated homes over the coming years. By hosting sessions on consumer demographics, market surveys, and sales strategies, workshop attendees gained insight that will help them take advantage of over $2 billion dollars in potential sales.
Who attended the 2009 workshop?
170 HVAC manufacturers, distributors, and dealers 43 utilities and energy efficiency representatives 23 program staff from the Project implementation and evaluation teams
...that's over 235 people in total!
